This is a carving "rough" that is now painted and in my shop window. I call it the Garage sale guy.
This Emperor Penguin is one of 3, it is about 4.5 inch's high, one other is made of Soapstone the same height and the largest is wood and about 8 inch's high.
The Bears, one is of Black Walnut and the other is of Alabaster stone.
This Cat is a copy of one that had been found in the Florida keys' called a San Marcos cat. It looks Egyptian and was unearthed in the 1800's . Also of Black Walnut.
This wooden block is a copy of a Celtic bird of peace, doesn't look like it though.

The Barn Owl in the back was my first ever hand carving with no pattern.
